It hasn't really been a secret that reserve offensive lineman Halapoulivaati Vaitai has struggled so far this preseason. Apparently his play has been so poor, that former Eagles Pro Bowl LT Tra Thomas attended last night's preseason finale so that he could have a chat with Vaitai and give him a much needed talk and some lessons.
Thomas is not listed as an official member of the Eagles staff, so either the team asked him if he was available to talk to 'Big V', or Thomas decided himself that he needed to get his attention and see if he can get to the root of Vaitai's struggles. Thomas' talk with Vaitai might help him get out of his slump, but we should still just hope that Jason Peters stays heathy this season so we won't need to see Vaitai on the field.
