Ever since Nick Foles took over for the injured Carson Wentz this season and has led the Eagles to consecutive wins, there has been a lot of debate about who the Eagles quarterback should be for 2019 and beyond.
Former Eagles head coach Dick Vermeil was on the 94WIP Morning Show on Friday, and although he didn't say who he thinks the Eagles QB of the future should be, he did sing high praises of Foles:
"I expect him to play in a top-10 quarterback caliber level in the National Football League for some team...as long as he is on a good team with a good offensive scheme."
Vermeil also said that if he goes to the right place, Foles can take his 2019 team to a Super Bowl.
Right now Foles is playing at an elite level, and if the Eagles do end up making the playoffs and he continues to play this way, Foles will get to hand-pick where he plays in 2019. He could potentially pick a good team with a good offensive scheme, and then we could see if Vermeil's prediction comes true.
