A 10-year-old Eagles fan in the heart of Patriots country received some devastating news recently. Shawny Smith was diagnosed with Malignant Gliomatosis Cerebri. Doctors told his family that 26-52% of people don't make a year after symptoms start, and the only option is for Shawny to start radiation.
With a future that is uncertain, Shawny and his family has started to come up with a list of things he has always wanted to do. One of those things that ended up on his list was to visit Philadelphia, tour Lincoln Financial Field, and hangout with his favorite Eagles player, Fletcher Cox.
Cox and the Eagles organization have heard about being on his list, and they are making it clear that they will help Shawny achieve this part of his so-called "Bucket List."
Other parts of his list include trips to New York City, Washington D.C., California, Arizona, and Ohio. Of course all of those trips will be pretty costly, and that is why his family has put up a GoFundMe to help with the costs of these potential trips.
