With the Eagles 2019 season officially over, it's time for them to look forward to 2020. Howie Roseman has already began making moves, announcing today that eight players were signed to future contracts:
All eight of these players were on the team's practice squad to end the season. Now they will have a chance to fight to make the team's 2020 53-man roster. De'Angelo Henderson (RB) and Diego Joseph (T) were the only two practice squad members to not receive future contracts yet.
None of these eight players will have great chances of making the Eagles final roster next season, but a lot can change during the offseason. As of this moment, the player with the best chance of making the roster would Marken Michel, who spent all of last offseason, preseason and the regular season with the team. The team is desperate for wide receiver help, but if for some reason the position isn't addressed in the draft or free agency, then Michel would have a shot at making the 53-man roster.
