Eagles Nab Yet Another Coach From the Colts

With TEs coach Justin Peelle moving on to the Atlanta Falcons, the Eagles needed to find his replacement. It should come as no surprise that the team found his replacement in Indianapolis, as they are reportedly hiring Jason Michael as their new TEs coach.

Michael has an extensive resume and has worked with different offenses for 18 years, focusing mainly on tight ends:

  • Graduate assistant with Tennessee (2003–2004)

  • Quality control coordinator with the Oakland Raiders (2005)

  • Quality control coordinator & quarterbacks coach with the New York Jets (2006)

  • Tight ends coach with the New York Jets (2007)

  • Tight ends coach with Tennessee (2008)

  • Offensive assistant & quarterbacks coach with the San Francisco 49ers (2009–2010)

  • Tights end coach with the San Diego Chargers (2011–2013)

  • Offensive coordinator with the Tennessee Titans (2014–2015)

  • Quarterbacks coach with the Tennessee Titans (2016–2017)

  • Tight ends coach with the Arizona Cardinals (2018)

  • Tight ends coach with the Indianapolis Colts (2019–2020)

Michael will be the third former Colts coach hired under Sirianni's staff, joining Jonathan Gannon and Kevin Patullo.
