The Eagles have secured the best right tackle in the NFL, signing Lane Johnson through the 2025 season.
The deal is a historic one, as it makes Johnson the beneficiary of the largest contract for an offensive lineman in NFL history.
This extension comes at the tail-end of some other long-term extensions signed by Rick Lovato, Jake Elliott and Johnson's line partner Brandon Brooks.
Eagles fans likely couldn't be happier after this extension. He has been a pillar on the o-line for many years (including the Super Bowl year) and was one of the few bright spots in the darkness before the good years began. We can see these past 1 3/4 games without Lane Johnson that the line has been no short of a disaster. I'm for one am proud to say that Lane Johnson will be with us for a long, long time, and I am very excited for the future of this offensive line.
