Even though the Eagles announced their 53-man roster on Saturday, it doesn't appear that all of those players will still be on the roster by the time the team plays next Sunday versus Washington.
Earlier today it was reported that the Eagles are going to be working out Craig James. James won't be the only special teams ace at the NovaCare Complex, as it is also now being reported that the team will also host Chris Banjo for a workout.
Banjo started his career on the Green Bay Packers, but for the last three seasons he was a special teams aace on the New Orleans Saints. He has recorded 65 tackles and three interceptions in his career.
If the Eagles want the more experienced special teamer, then Banjo will have the upper hand in this battle, but you never know who will come out on top in these workouts. Either way, it seems like the Eagles will be adding a new special teams player before the season opener against the Redskins.
