Eagles Bring Back Jason Peters in a New Role

The Eagles are bringing back "The Bodyguard" for one more season, as a report today says they have re-signed Jason Peters.

The 38-year-old will be returning for his 12th season as an Eagle, but it appears it will be in a new role as the team announced him as a guard rather than a tackle. According to NBC Sports Philadelphia's Derrick Gunn, they will try to plug him in at right guard with Brandon Brooks out for the season, or they will put him at left guard and make Isaac Seumalo switch to the right side.

At the moment, the future Hall-of-Famer currently sits 18th in Eagles history with 140 games played. If he is somehow able to play in all 16 games in 2020, he can move into a tie for 10th-place with Jerry Sisemore (156).
