Eagles Attend Boise State's Pro Day

As pro day season comes to an end, one of the most popular teams that scouts attended was Boise State's pro day, as all 32 teams were in attendance.

Here's a look at some of the prospects the Eagles could have had their eyes on.

Alexander Mattison | RB | 5’11 211lbs | Jr.

Mattison made the All-Mountain West First Team last season thanks to winning the Mountain West rushing title with 1,415 yards. He ranked eighth in the country in rushing yards, and led the Mountain West and ranked seventh in FBS with 17 rushing touchdowns. He has a good enough receiving ability from the backfield that Doug Pederson would like to have in his offense.

Current Projection: 5th-6th Round

Brett Rypien | QB | 6’2 202lbs | Sr.

Rypien finished his career as the Mountain West's all-time leader in passing yards (13,581), completions (1,036), and 300-yard passing games (21). He was also Boise State's all-time leader in 300-yard games. The QB was named Mountain West's Offensive Player of the Year and earned his third selection to the All-Mountain West First Team in 2018. His performance in college will allow him a chance to be drafted and potentially groomed to become a starting QB in the NFL. The Eagles made it known they'll bring in a quarterback either through the draft or bring in an undrafted free agent. So Rypien is a prime candidate for a quarterback the Eagles could be interested in developing.

Current Projection: 6th-7th Round

Jabril Frazier | DE | 6’4 238lbs | Sr.

Frazier made the All-Mountain West First Team in 2018. He registered 50 tackles (9 for loss) and 5.5 sacks to earn that honor. The Eagles want depth at the defensive end position so they can rotate their players, and Frazier could be a late-round candidate for the Eagles to take a chance on.

Current Projection: 7th Round

David Moa | DT | 6’3 305lbs | Sr.

Missed pretty much all of 2018 due to injury, but he was named to the All-Mountain West Second Team in 2017, and All-Mountain West First Team in 2016. The missed year hurt his draft stock, but there's a chance he still ends up getting drafted. Even if he doesn't he'll find his way onto a training camp roster as an undrafted free agent.

Current Projection: 7th Round/UDFA
