At 4PM today all NFL teams needed to be down to 53 players heading into Week 1. The Eagle officially announced their roster, and here's a breakdown of the players at each position:
QB: Carson Wentz, Josh McCown, Nate Sudfeld
RB: Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard, Darren Sproles, Corey Clement
WR: Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Nelson Agholor, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Mack Hollins
TE: Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert
OL: Jason Peters, Isaac Seumalo, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks, Lane Johnson, Andre Dillard, Jordan Mailata, Nate Herbig, Matt Pryor, Halapoulivaati Vaitai
DE: Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett, Vinny Curry, Josh Sweat, Daeshon Hall, Shareef Miller
DT: Fletcher Cox, Malik Jackson, Timmy Jernigan, Hassan Ridgeway
LB: Nigel Bradham, Zach Brown, Kamu Grugier-Hill, L.J. Fort, T.J. Edwards, Nate Gerry
CB: Ronald Darby, Rasul Douglas, Avonte Maddox, Sidney Jones, Cre'Von LeBlanc
S: Malcolm Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Johnathan Cyprien, Andrew Sendejo, Rudy Ford
ST: Jake Elliott, Cameron Johnston, Rick Lovato
Even though this is what the roster looks like now, this might not be the exact team that takes the field next Sunday at the Linc. Howie Roseman will likely look for players to add via the waiver wire. One position that is sure to change is tight end, as the Eagles only have two on the roster right now and they will be using that position often on offense, meaning the depth there will be crucial.
