After being drubbed in the running game the past three weeks (and due to Jordan Davis and Marlon Tuipulotu going on IR) the Eagles have decided to add two new defensive tackles.
The Birds signed Linvell Joseph yesterday and Ndamukong Suh today.
Joseph is a 13-year NFL veteran who has been known to clog running lanes and will try to fill the void that Jordan Davis has left.
Suh is a potential PFHOF candidate that can help in the run game as well, but he also has 70.5 career sacks and 212 career QB hits. Fletcher Cox played 70 snaps on Monday Night and admitted after the game that his body can’t keep up with that much usage, so Suh is likely to help as a rotational piece to keep Cox, Javon Hargrave, and Milton Williams fresh.
Credit to Howie Roseman for seeing the issues the team has had in recent games and doing what he can to bring in the best available talent off of the street to help with the trade deadline having already passed.
