The Eagles added young talent to their cornerback depth chart on Tuesday when it was announced that they acquired Josiah Scott from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The team traded Jameson Houston and a 2023 sixth-round pick to acquire Scott.
Scott was a fourth-round pick for the Jaguars in 2020. He was limited to just 76 snaps in his rookie season, which means there could be some untapped potential still in the 22-year-old. His 5'9, 185lbs frame will likely limit him to only being a slot cornerback for the Birds.
Scott will also have a chance to play for his favorite football team; although going to high school in Ohio, Scott is a massive Eagles fan.
If no more changes are made to the cornerback room before the season, Scott should have a solid chance at making the final 53-man roster.
