Duce Staley Wants Darren Sproles Back in Philly

Darren Sproles was all set to retire after the conclusion of the 2018 season. However, a nagging hamstring injury forced him to miss 10 games. That led to Sproles to reconsider his retirement plans.

Howie Roseman seems ready to move on from Sproles though, as he has brought in Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders to accompany Corey Clement in the backfield. If Sproles were to be brought back, he would likely have a very limited role in the Eagles offensive gameplan. But one person who is vouching for Sproles to return is running backs coach Duce Staley.

Staley isn't the only coach who wants Sproles back, as Doug Pederson also professed that he wants Sproles to return (although he mentioned it before the acquisitions of Howard and Sanders).

We don't know what exactly Howie Roseman is thinking - he could be set at the running back position or want to add a player like Sproles to the crowd if he can get Sproles to sign for cheap. Whatever the case, we do know that Carson Wentz will have some talent in the backfield to take some pressure off of him this season.
