Divisional Round Injury Report: Eagles vs Giants

The #1 seed Philadelphia Eagles will host the #6 seed New York Giants this weekend with a chance to advance to the NFC Championship Game on the line. Obviously, nobody is 100% healthy this time of year as both teams are dealing with injuries to key players.

Here's a look at the injury report for the Eagles:

CB Avonte Maddox (toe)

With Maddox still out Josiah Scott is likely to remain the primary slot corner, but there could be times when C.J. Gardner-Johnson comes down to the slot and Reed Blankenship plays safety. If the Birds advance to the NFC Championship Game there is a decent chance Maddox could return for that.

T Lane Johnson (groin)

Though he doesn't have a designation for Saturday's game, we know Johnson is dealing with a groin injury that will need corrective surgery after the season's over. In the meantime, he will try to play through the injury, so there is a chance after every offensive play this postseason where Johnson would be replaced by Jack Driscoll.

*P Arryn Siposs (ankle)

Siposs suffered an ankle injury when he tried to advance his blocked punt for a first down in the first meetup with the Giants. His boot is off but needs to work back up to gameday strength, which might not happen in time for this game. If Brett Kern can be an average punter in the (hopefully limited) times needed to punt, Siposs should be cleared to return for the potential NFC Championship Game.

*LB Shaun Bradley (wrist)

Bradley was placed on IR before the season-finale. In a Twitter post, he said he would be able to be activated off of IR if the Eagles made it to the Super Bowl. Bradley was solely a special teams contributor this season but was a pretty reliable piece on special teams.

*DT Marlon Tuipulotu (IR - knee)

Tuipulotu was supposed to be the fill-in NT for Jordan Davis but suffered a season-ending knee injury. The 2021 6th-round pick wasn’t terrible but wasn’t impressive either in his increased role. The Eagles added Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh to replace Davis and Tuipulotu, and now with Davis active again the team is now deep at the DT position.

*DE Derek Barnett (ACL)

Barnett tore his ACL in Week 1 and is out for the rest of the season.

Here's a look at the Giants' injury report:

OLB Azeez Ojulari (ankle)

Ojulari has been dealing with injury the past few weeks. If he can not finish the game Oshane Ximines is his backup (24 tackles, 3 TFLs, 2.0 sacks, 8 QB hits, 2 passes defended, 1 forced fumble)

*WR Sterling Shepard (IR): Shepard was Daniel Jones' top passing target the first month of the season, but he was lost for the season with a torn ACL.

*WR Wan'Dale Robinson (IR): Robinson is a rookie who was starting to figure out his game at the end of November when he had 9 catches for 100 yards against the Lions, but suffered a season-ending torn ACL in the game.

*WR Collin Johnson (IR): Johnson suffered a torn Achilles in training camp.

*DT Nick Williams (IR): Williams started the first seven games for the Giants at DT, but wasn’t productive. He landed on IR with a likely season-ending biceps injury.

*OG Joshua Ezeudu (IR): Ezeudu is a rookie third-round backup guard who has seen action in 10 games this season, with two starts.

*OG Shane Lemieux (IR): Lemieux is another backup guard who has only appeared in one game this season (Week 11 against the Lions), which he started before getting hurt again.

*DT D.J. Davidson (IR): Davidson is a rotational DT for the Giants.

*CB Aaron Robinson (IR): Robinson was a Week 1 starter but suffered a season-ending knee injury.
