Current and Former Eagles Are Coming Up Big To Help Fight Hunger During Pandemic

Updated: Apr 7, 2020

The coronavirus has shown the world just how selfish some people can be when asked to contribute little effort to keep their community safe. On the other side of the spectrum, this pandemic has also brought out the best in some people, which has provided hope for people who have been affected the most by this virus.

Zach Ertz has stepped up to the plate by announcing he and his wife, Julie Ertz, will be donating $100K to Philabundance through the Ertz Family Foundation to help provide meals to those in need during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Not to be outdone, Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie, are also chipping in $100K of their own to help battle hunger.

The train has kept on rolling, as former Eagles linebacker and current special assistant in the organization Connor Barwin and his wife, Laura, have contributed $25K to this amazing cause.

Rodney McLeod is helping in his own way too, donating $25,000 to Philabundance and trying to raise awareness for "PHILASD Grab & Go Campaign"

Carson Wentz's foundation, Audience of One, is stepping up by allocating $100,000 in funds towards a new food initiative associated with their food truck Thy Kingdom Crumb:

Also, former Eagle Nigel Bradham is helping out his community of Crawfordville, Florida by pledging to fund 3,000 meals.

Hopefully, the leadership of these outstanding current or former Philadelphians will help inspire others to donate or possibly volunteer to help this movement in any way possible. If you want to help or know someone interested in helping, please view the Ertz Family Foundation website.
