Last week the team received good news, as Carson Wentz was finally cleared for 11 on 11 team work. This was a big hurdle for him to clear, but the last and biggest hurdle he needs to clear to be ready for the season opener against Atlanta is being cleared for contact. Today, Doug Pederson gave some disappointing news for Eagles fans to hear.
This could end being a bigger deal than most people think. The team is 11 days away from the start of the season, and Wentz is not allowed to take any contact in a contact sport. It's looking more and more likely that Wentz might end up missing at least the first game of the season. With Nick Foles' paltry performance this preseason, its okay for Eagles fans to be a little concerned about the team coming out of the gate this season.
