Brandon Graham Re-Signs With Eagles for 2023

The heart of the Eagles defense is coming back for one more run in 2023, as Brandon Graham is returning on a one-year deal worth up to $6 million.

Graham returns for his 14th season in midnight green and will tie Chuck Bednarik (1949-1962) for the most seasons played in an Eagles uniform in franchise history. He is currently the longest-tenured athlete in all of Philadelphia sports.

Coming off of an achilles tear in 2021, Graham flourished in a rotational role last season, playing in just 43% of the team’s defensive snaps. He recorded a career-high 11.0 sacks, 16 QB hits, 35 tackles (11 TFLs), and 2 forced fumbles.

BG sits 4th in Eagles history in sacks (70.0 sacks). He’ll have a shot to pass Clyde Simmons (76.0) for 3rd place. He is also tied with Seth Joyner for 2nd place in franchise history in forced fumbles (21), and sits in 2nd place in TFLs (116) and QB hits (140) behind Trent Cole (124 TFLs, 149 QB hits).

Graham has played in 178 games as an Eagle. He needs 6 games to pass Brian Dawkins (183) for the most games played by a defensive player in Eagles history, and 11 games to pass David Akers (188) for the most games ever played in Eagles history.
