Bold Predictions: Eagles at Giants

Updated: Dec 29, 2019

This weekend the Eagles will play for a chance at winning their second NFC East crown in three seasons when they take on the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. It is win and you're in/lose and your season is over for the Birds. Before the teams take the field, our writers need to make their bold predictions for the game known.

Here's a recap of previous bold predictions from each week and the winning predictor from our writers:

Week 1: Mike W.

Week 2: Michael V. (partial credit)

Week 3: no correct predictions

Week 4: Andrew W. & Mike W. (both partial credit)

Week 5: Chalie (Dylan partial credit)

Week 6: Dylan (partial credit)

Week 7: no correct predictions

Week 8: no correct predictions

Week 9: Andrew W. & Travis (partial credit)

Week 11: no correct predictions

Week 12: no correct predictions

Week 13: no correct predictions

Week 14: no correct predictions

Week 15: no correct predictions

Week 16: Dylan

We'll see if anyone can have a fully correct prediction this week as the Eagles try to secure a spot in the 2019 Postseason. Here's what our writers are boldly predicting for this weekend:

Andrew: The defensive tackles on this team not named Fletcher Cox have not been contributing like we have needed them to do. This has allowed teams to put all of their focus on Cox, which is why his numbers this year have not been like years prior. I think Tim Jernigan steps up in this game and contributes at least two sacks on Daniel Jones.

Chalie: Carson Wentz will keep the team on his back on this amazing stretch of his by throwing for 350 yards and at least three touchdowns.

Dylan: Sidney Jones will make some more clutch plays and lead the cornerbacks in tackles, passes defended, and interceptions on Sunday.

Alexis: The Eagles crush the giants in a big offensive performance to clinch the NFC East title. 32-10 will be the final score.

Zach: Daniel Jones will start Sunday against the Birds, but I don't know if we should be worried or not? The Eagles still have something to play for -- a NFC East division crown and home game in the Wildcard Round of the 2019 Playoffs. Will the defense show up two weeks in a row? For Sunday, I have the Eagles winning in a close game at MetLife Stadium --Eagles 27 Giants 23.

Ryan: Carson will rain fire, with Greg Ward going for over 100 yards receiving.

Chauncey: Eagles go back-to-back weeks without letting up a touchdown on the defensive side of the ball.
