The Eagles' 2021 special teams captain is on the move. Alex Singleton, the leading tackler from the past two seasons is signing a one-year deal with the Denver Broncos.
In just three seasons (and only two as a regular starter) Singleton quickly accumulated over 158 solo tackles on defense, which puts him inside the top-50 in Eagles history* (*tackles have only been consistently recorded since 1994).
Singleton lost his starting linebacker spot halfway through the 2021 season, but still produced tackles once his snaps were limited. His absence will likely be felt more along the lines of his special teams play, but fans are hopeful that the team will bring in at least one or two stud linebackers in free agency and the draft since the team has overlooked the position for decades.
