5 Players to Watch in the Second Preseason Game

The Eagles are getting set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars . This will be the fan’s second opportunity to get a good look at some of the key position battles going on this preseason. Here are a few guys to key in on while watching tonight's action.

Daeshon Hall DE

Hall was all over the field against the Titans last week. With great size, Hall can fight his way into the Eagles defensive line rotation if he continues his impressive play the rest of the preseason.

Clayton Thorson QB

Thorson was abysmal last week in limited action. With the uncertainty around the Eagles back up situation given Sudfeld's injury, Thorson must step up to be considered deserving of the 3rd string QB spot or even a practice squad spot.

Miles Sanders RB

Sanders was less than impressive in his first action donning midnight green. While it was behind the Eagles 2nd string offensive line, fans hoped to see the flashes that have been clamored about during camp.

Jordan Mailata OT

Mailata got a lot of playing time last week at the right tackle spot. It was interesting, given that Big V ended up moving inside to make room. Mailata wasn’t great, but he was decent in his first preseason action this year. Looking for him to take another step against a good defense in Jacksonville

Marken Michel WR

Michel beat his defender enroute to a 75 yard TD, the only one on the night last week. Michel, the brother of New England RB Sony Michel has opened some eyes with his speed. With the Eagles waiving Shelton Gibson, having a Burner beyond Desean Jackson on the roster is necessary.
