2022 Week 18 Injury Report: Eagles vs Giants

The 13-3 Philadelphia Eagles end their regular season in a matchup with the New York Giants. The Eagles enter this game needing a win to cement themselves as NFC East Champs and earn a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Giants are cemented as the 6-seed in the playoffs and don't have much to play for in this game. Both teams are dealing with a handful of injuries to key players.

Here's a look at the Week 18 injury report for the Eagles:

LB Shaun Bradley (wrist)

Bradley has only played special teams so far this season.

T Lane Johnson (groin)

With Johnson still out Jack Driscoll is likely to remain the starter at RT.

CB Avonte Maddox (toe)

With Maddox still out Josiah Scott is likely to remain the slot corner.

DE Janarius Robinson (ankle)

Robinson hasn’t played a defensive snap yet this year.

DE Josh Sweat (neck)

Sweat had quite the scare this past game. Especially with what happened in Buffalo on Monday, the coaching staff is gonna be extra cautious with him. Brandon Graham and Patrick Johnson are likely to see big increases in their snaps on Sunday.

QB Jalen Hurts (shoulder)

It feels like Hurts is gonna play in this game since it’s crucial getting the first-round bye and home-field advantage. With the Giants likely resting key players, if the Eagles get out to a three-score lead maybe they’ll pull Hurts so he doesn’t take any extra hits.

*S C.J. Gardner-Johnson (IR - kidney)

CJGJ was diagnosed with a lacerated kidney, which is a pretty unpredictable injury. His practice window opened up this week so we will find out Saturday at 4PM if he will be activated or not. UDFA Reed Blankenship has filled in well for him. If CJGJ can't play then K'Von Wallace will back up Blankenship.

*DE Robert Quinn (IR - knee)

Quinn has been invisible since he was acquired before the trade deadline. His practice window opened up this week so we will find out Saturday at 4PM if he will be activated or not. Thankfully the other pass rushers have picked up the slack and the Eagles currently have the most sacks in the NFL. If he is activated expect him to see a large increase in snaps since Josh Sweat is out for this game and he needs the reps before potentially joining the rotation for the playoff run.

*DT Marlon Tuipulotu (IR - knee)

Tuipulotu was supposed to be the fill-in NT for Jordan Davis but suffered a season-ending knee injury. The 2021 6th-round pick wasn’t terrible but wasn’t impressive either in his increased role. The Eagles added Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh to replace Davis and Tuipulotu, and now with Davis active again the team is now deep at the DT position.

*DE Derek Barnett (ACL)

Barnett tore his ACL in Week 1 and is out for the rest of the season.

Here's a look at the Giants' injury report:

OLB Azeez Ojulari (ankle)

With Ojulari out expect more snaps for Oshane Ximines (22 tackles, 3 TFLs, 2.0 sacks, 8 QB hits, 2 passes defended, 1 forced fumble)

DL Leonard Williams (neck)

With Williams out expect a lot of snaps for Henry Mondeaux, who has been a part of the DL rotation for the Giants all year (14 tackles, 1 TFL). Justin Ellis has also been a part of the DL rotation as well (20 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 QB hit).

CB Adoree Jackson (knee)

Jackson is the best cornerback on the Giants roster, since he is doutbful there is no reason for him to play and risk worsening his injury. Holmes and McCloud

C Jon Feliciano (back)

Ben Bredeson (seven starts this year) is likely to start in Feliciano's place

*WR Sterling Shepard (IR): Shepard was Daniel Jones' top passing target the first month of the season, but he was lost for the season with a torn ACL.

*WR Wan'Dale Robinson (IR): Robinson is a rookie who was starting to figure out his game at the end of November when he had 9 catches for 100 yards against the Lions, but suffered a season-ending torn ACL in the game.

*WR Collin Johnson (IR): Johnson suffered a torn Achilles in training camp.

*DT Nick Williams (IR): Williams started the first seven games for the Giants at DT, but wasn’t productive. He landed on IR with a likely season-ending biceps injury.

*OG Joshua Ezeudu (IR): Ezeudu is a rookie third-round backup guard who has seen action in 10 games this season, with two starts.

*OG Shane Lemieux (IR): Lemieux is another backup guard who has only appeared in one game this season (Week 11 against the Lions), which he started before getting hurt again.

*DT D.J. Davidson (IR): Davidson is a rotational DT for the Giants.

*CB Aaron Robinson (IR): Robinson was a Week 1 starter but suffered a season-ending knee injury.
