2021 Week 5 Injury Report: Eagles at Panthers

The Eagles head down to Carolina this weekend to face the 3-1 Panthers. The good news for the Birds is that they'll only be down one starter on the active roster for Sunday, but it's a key player. Here's a look at Philadelphia's final injury report:

Lane Johnson (personal) - Johnson was a late scratch on Sunday when the personal matter was first noted. According to Derrick Gunn he flew back to Philly on Wednesday, but he is still dealing with the matter.

With Jordan Mailata able to play on Sunday, there could be a chance he starts at RT. On paper Dillard at LT and Mailata at RT is a much better option than Mailata at LT and Jack Driscoll at RT. There are probably three different o-line combinations the team could use on Sunday:

Dillard - Dickerson - Kelce - Herbig - Mailata

Dillard - Dickerson - Kelce - Driscoll - Mailata

Mailata - Dickerson - Kelce - Herbig - Driscoll

The Panthers are a little banged up, as they have ruled two players out for Sunday and one doubtful one as well. Here's a look at their final injury report.

Shaq Thompson (foot) - Career journeyman Julian Stanford will likely be starting in Thompson's place on Sunday.

Cameron Erving (neck) - Erving is the team's starting LT. Starting in his place on Sunday will be veteran Trent Scott, who has appeared in 40 career games.

Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) - With CMC most likely out, the Panthers will continue to use Chuba Hubbard and Royce Freeman.
