The Philadelphia Eagles will kick off their season on Sunday with a matchup against the Falcons down in Atlanta. The Falcons will enter the game fully healthy, while a couple of Eagles are dealing with injuries that still linger from last year.
Here's a look at the Week 1 injury report:
OL Landon Dickerson (knee)
The team is being extra cautious with Dickerson as he still recovers from a torn ACL suffered late in his 2020 season at Alabama. He is slated to be the backup for the first few weeks of the season as he continues to heal and learn the NFL pace. As of now, Nate Herbig will likely be the first OL off the bench if any of the interior OL suffer an injury.
S Rodney McLeod (knee)
McLeod suffered his ACL injury back in the middle of December against the Saints. The Eagles are thin at safety, so there's no point in trying to rush him back and risk a setback and dealing with subpar safety play for the entire season. Marcus Epps is likely to get the bulk of McLeod's snaps against the Falcons, but K'Von Wallace could also be thrown into the mix.
LB Davion Taylor (calf)
Taylor figures to be a depth piece at linebacker this season, but could be a key player on special teams. We'll have to wait until gameday to know what his status is for Week 1.
