The Eagles have been without a "star" running back ever since Chip Kelly shipped LeSean McCoy out of Philadelphia. Since that time, the team has utilized a running back by committee approach. This season though, it seems the team will feature Miles Sanders for the majority of the snaps. We'll take a look at what to expect from the Eagles' running backs in 2020:
MILES SANDERS
Sanders flourished the back half of his rookie season. He quickly became a go-to target for Carson Wentz with the majority of wide receivers out due to injury. Sanders will look to build off of last season's momentum and will most definitely be the "star" running back the Eagles have been looking for. The Penn State product will finish the season with 1,126 rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns, 714 yards receiving, and five receiving touchdowns.
BOSTON SCOTT
Last year at this time, Scott wasn't even a thought to make the team. This season, he looks to be the team's number two option in the backfield. With Sanders leading the way and taking the majority of the snaps, Scott will struggle to see the field often enough to produce massive numbers. Look for 283 yards rushing with three touchdowns. He will add 186 yards receiving and a receiving touchdown.
COREY CLEMENT
Clement was one of the key pieces to the 2017 Super Bowl run, but he was unable to play last season due to injury. Now healthy, he will serve as the team's number three running back. He will not contribute much this year (unless the injury bug continues). Clement will rush for 196 yards and contribute 88 yards of receiving with zero total touchdowns.
