The 2017 Eagles will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all Philadelphians, and are considered by those in the tri-state area the best Eagles team ever assembled (until the next time the Eagles win a Super Bowl).
NFLdotcom also holds that Eagles team in high regard, as they have placed the 2017 Eagles as the 3rd-best team in the 2010's decade.
It's weird to see a team that didn't get the job done in the Super Bowl ahead of them in the 2015 Panthers, but outside of that there isn't much to complain about with this ranking. The 2013 Seahawks were able to dismantle a Broncos team led by Peyton Manning (who wasn't in his decline yet), so it is understandable that the Eagles fell behind them in these rankings.
The 2017 Eagles will forever be known as the team that didn't allow the New England Patriots dynasty to win three straight Super Bowls, and were able to beat future hall-of-famer Tom Brady, even though he played the best game ever for a quarterback in a Super Bowl. Even though they rank as the 3rd-best team of the 2010s, they should also be considered as one of the best teams ever assembled in the 21st-century.
