Eagles Meet With Utah State Running Back After Pro Day

The Eagles continued their search for an additional running back yesterday, when they had a representative present at Utah State's pro day.

The Aggies have a draft able prospect in Darwin Thompson, who talked with Eagles assistant running backs coach T.J. Paganetti.

Darwin Thompson | RB | 5’8 200lbs

Thompson was honored for his final season at Utah State by being named to the Second Team All-Mountain West and Phil Steele's Second-Team All-Mountain West. He crossed pay dirt 14 times on the ground, and 16 times overall last season. Though he has a stature similar to Darren Sproles, he has a long way to being able to be mentioned in the same sentence as him as far as production goes. He doesn't appear likely to become a workhorse true #1 running back for a team, but he can add some value as a change of pace runner to allow his teammate running backs time to rest.

Current Projection: 6th Round
